THE FOUNDER JOURNEY
It Started Underground
I was born into a humble home-based walnut operation in Hong Kong. As a child, part of my daily routine was helping my mother crack walnuts by hand — work that directly supported our family's livelihood. From an early age, I understood that discipline, accuracy, and consistency mattered.
By second grade, I had already begun teaching myself basic bookkeeping concepts, fascinated by how numbers, records, and operations connected to survival and stability.
After receiving elementary bookkeeping training straight out of high school, I landed a position at an Indian bank in Central, Hong Kong. Part of my daily routine began beneath the streets of the city — inside the underground HSBC bank vault — processing substantial volumes of checks manually in one of the world's busiest financial environments.
That experience built the foundation of something that would stay with me for life: real-world, internationally reconciled financial ledger discipline. Not theory. Not simulation. Operational financial reality moving across borders, institutions, trade, and human systems.
Over the next 10 years in Hong Kong, I worked across international trade and global logistics environments, gaining firsthand experience in how money, operations, coordination, and information move through real businesses.
In 2001, I moved to Los Angeles with my young daughter. The transition expanded my global perspective and deepened my practical experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, systems building, and operational optimization across another 25 years of real-world business practice.
For over 15 years, I carried an idea: to build an online ecosystem that could help connect people, businesses, knowledge, and opportunity globally between East and West. But vision alone was not enough. I lacked funding, technical skills, and the infrastructure to fully bring it to life.
In 2021, I gifted myself enrollment in the Microsoft 365 for Accountants bootcamp for my birthday. That experience became a turning point. I gained practical technical skills, expanded my systems thinking, and connected with communities such as IAMCP and Women in Cloud — communities that provided not only knowledge and relationships, but also real exposure to funding pathways, partnership ecosystems, and long-term support.
In 2024, after many years of personal practice, I fulfilled a longtime goal of graduating from a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training program. My yogic path did not take me away from the operational world — it helped me approach it with greater awareness, clarity, and responsibility.
Today, from Belize, I continue evolving Ark Ecosystems™ — a practical AI-era ecosystem built on Financial, Trust, Knowledge, and Human Ledgers designed to help people move from dreams to abundance.
After more than 15 years of building, learning, adapting, and self-funding the journey, Ark Ecosystems™ is now officially available on Microsoft AppSource — fulfilling a long-term vision of creating practical systems for financial clarity, trusted visibility, knowledge, and human coordination in the AI era.
